Telemann: Concerto for 2 Flutes and Calchedon in B minor, TWV 53:h1

June 26, 2017

/Music of the 17th and 18th centuries/
[Instrumental Monday]

In this concerto, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 - 1767) employed a very unusual instrument - the Calchedon. It is a kind of baroque lute, also known as a galizona.
